Angsty High School (look how far I've come)

Character design and practicing colored pencils.
Full Faber Castell b/w marker page,
One of several photography units, this one was a favorite of the teacher.
Was my desktop background for a while.
This was a found object sculpture project made of cardboard, toothpicks, and tongue depressors and covered in masking tape, decorated with ink. Ink was my thing back in high school.
Sculpture made of wire, found wood, paper mache, yarn, fake grapes, ceramic, dirt, and acrylic paint.
I was very fond of very up-close photography. Macro mode was my favorite.
My high school magnum opus, this piece spawned a series and a debate in my school over bullying and how to handle it.
I don't know what was up with this one, but it was a fun experiment in layering and mixed media.
First big project of my senior year, create a self portrait.
My teacher kept referring to these guys as "the naked guy" and "the naked girl" which brought up an interesting conversation about how they weren't human and probably didn't perceive gender the way we humans do.
Detail of how anal I got over some paintings, these words were maybe an eighth of an inch high.
The basis of this piece was a painting I did during a migraine followed by my teacher saying I couldn't put tempera over acrylic. I proved him wrong. (not archival, but fun)
In-progress image of a prismacolor piece that was several feet square.
The finished piece wasn't great, but I spent so much time on the bottom guy that the top and background didn't have time.
The only painting I ever sold in high school and it was an accident.
One of the last things I did in high school, a mix of prismacolor pencils, watercolor pencils, watercolor.
